SEA KAYAK PADDLES

Brača Hurricane

The Brača Hurricane is the latest paddle in the Brača touring line. It has a slightly reduced blade surface area and offset spine height to provide more efficient catch, tracking and exit.

Its exceptional strength fully withstands intense conditions and performs flawlessly in the open ocean, rivers and lakes. This is a perfect paddle for touring and long races for the paddlers who prefer a traditional shape over a wing blade. It is a really nice paddle to brace on and has specially reinforced edges to withstand the toughest of conditions. An excellent support for those who enjoy kayak sailing. These paddles are also a good option for fishing ski paddlers preferring a euro style blade.

All Brača Euro blade paddles are available with either a fixed shaft or a 5cm adjustable shaft system. This allows easy adjustment of overall paddle length and blade angle from 0° to 80° right or left. The system also allows you to disassemble the paddle into two parts for easy transportation.

We would recommend the min 660cm2 blade for most paddling situations. although someone playing exclusively in the surf may prefer the stronger brace of the 720cm blade.

Brača IV Carbon 60

The Brača IV Carbon 60 paddle is designed for paddlers who want a softer blade and shaft. The Brača IV 60 is a 60% carbon version of the world’s most popular ICF sprint design, Brača IV teardrop. With slightly more flex these paddles are designed for the requirements of paddlers looking to ease the stress on joints.  A great option for sea kayakers covering distance or those with prior injuries. At a reduced price from the standard IV, the Carbon 60 is a great combination of Brača design and durability.

All Brača IV Carbon 60 paddles are available with either a fixed shaft or an adjustable shaft system. This allows easy adjustment of overall paddle length (within 10cm range) and blade angle from 0° to 80° right or left. The system also allows you to disassemble the paddle into two parts for easy transportation. We would recommend paring this blade with the hurricane above to make the perfect combo for Bass Strait crossings.

FISHING SKI PADDLES

Brača Van Dusen Surf Wing

Brača XI Van Dusen '92 Surf Ski blades have a special reinforcement in the most stressed areas, which makes them suitable for paddling in the surf zone. When paddling on big waves, these blades have to withstand reverse forces when stabilizing or paddling backwards. This makes the VD surf a good option for those launching fishing skis from surf beaches up and down the coast.

Surf paddling requires a softer but more durable shaft, which has to be light at the same time. All Brača XI Van Dusen '92 Surf Ski paddles are available with a fixed or adjustable shaft. This allows easy adjustment of overall paddle length (within 5cm range) and blade angle from 0° to 80° right or left. The system also allows you to disassemble the paddle into two parts for easy transportation.

Brača IV Surf Wing

The Brača IV Surf Ski blades have a special reinforcement in the most stressed areas, which makes them suitable for paddling in the surf zone. The same characteristics are required for fishing ski paddlers so we recommend pairing these blades with the more durable 19K shaft.

We would suggest the medium 19K shaft paired with the 765cm2 max blade and either the medium or soft shaft can be paired with the min 735cm2 blade. All Brača IV Surf Ski paddles are available with either a fixed shaft or a 5cm adjustable shaft system. This allows easy adjustment of overall paddle length (within 5cm range) and blade angle from 0° to 80° right or left. The system also allows you to disassemble the paddle into two parts for easy transportation.
