XPLORA REBEL K1 SERIES

Xplora Watercraft are now producing the Rebel range of K1 racecraft designed by renowned champion padder Steve Vegh. Steve has been paddling in Australia since 1984, winning many championships in a variety of craft.

Some of his achievements are:

  • Australian Champion in Canoe and Kayak - sprint / marathon since 1984 – 2015

  • Five times Murray Marathon winner TK-2 relay

  • World Masters Champion in 2002, 2009, 2007, 2015 - world champion in singles and with mixed doubles K2

  • Outrigger Canoe Champion: 2005 , silver medal in Coffs Harbour in 2011.

  • Ocean paddling is Steve’s passion: Ocean ski and Outrigger Canoe. He has competed in several Ocean races, local and around Australia.

His boats have been a staple in clubs around the country for many years and we are proud to be the custodians of the brand going forward.  ​

XPLORA REBEL PRO

The Rebel Pro offers a K1 boat very close to an Olympic style racing kayak, but with more stability making it more comfortable to paddle.  The seat and footplate system is as you would find in other dedicated racing kayaks so the feel is the same, but we give you more room in the cockpit. The hull design incorporates a flat section towards the middle of the craft, making it extremely stable but still fast. This boat can be fitted with any of the different Rebel rudder designs or a marathon seat if preferred.

The Rebel 46 offers a K1 boat with a little more stability for those  racing or training in rougher choppy conditions.  This boat also serves as an excellent transition craft for those getting into paddling fast race K1s.  The cockpit on the 46 offers plenty of room with adjustment to cater for paddlers over 180cm tall. These craft can also be fitted with a quick adjust footplate system to cater for clubs/schools.

XPLORA REBEL 50

The Rebel 50 is our most stable K1 and is a staple in paddling clubs around the country . Perfect for those beginning their journey in the K1 class, those transferring across from sea kayak paddling or masters returning to the sport wanting to paddle in a range of conditions.  The cockpit on the 50 offers plenty of room with adjustment to cater for paddlers up to 190cm tall. These craft can also be modified as required to compete within the Paracanoe class.
