Brača-sport now offer their two most popular paddles in their range as speciality surf paddles for those looking for a little more durability and impact resistance to cope with the surf zone and race conditions. These blades can be paired with a new 22KAL shaft designed specifically with surf racing in mind. It offers 10cm of length adjustment which the nylon clamp has superior corrosion resistance than the flatwater metal clamp and allows for 60 degree feather angle adjustment left or right.
Brača XI Van Dusen Surf

These Brača XI Van Dusen '92 Surf Ski blades have a special kevlar reinforcement in the most stressed areas, which makes them suitable for paddling in the surf zone. When paddling on big waves, these blades have to withstand reverse forces when bracing or paddling backwards.
The blade has a special twisted tear-drop shape has more volume at the tip of the blade which facilitates a powerful catch while tapering out earlier than the traditional teardrop facilitates a clean exit. It encourages a more aggresive J-stroke than other Brača-Sport blades, paddlers report increased stability in rough conditons due to the stronger catch.
The 705cm2 model is the most commonly chosen in either a 208-218cm or 210-220cm length.

Brača IV Surf Wing

The Brača IV Surf Ski blades also have a special kevlar reinforcement in the most stressed areas, which makes them suitable for paddling in the surf zone. The Braca IV model tends to be the weapon of choice for lifesaving paddlers with a K1 background, due to the shape having more volume in the middle of the blade than the XI, which allows them to still find power in the middle of the stroke when sloppy condtions don't allow for a perfect catch.
The 705cm2 and 720cm2 blades are the most common choice for surf lifesaving in this model usually paired with a 208-218cm shaft.
